  4. THE CHURCH OF SAINT SAMSON, PARIS

  6. This old church was built in 1746 and demolished in 1882, after 
  7. the local populace rose up and tore it physically down to it's 
  8. foundations. Popular rumours had circulated linking the church to 
  9. a series of mysterious murders that occured in the surrounding 
  10. area. It was rumoured that a host of evil creatures from beyond 
  11. the grave lived in the crypt underneath the church. After the 
  12. church was pulled down the attacks stopped, but a final rumour 
  13. siad that the creatures would return to continue their attacks 
  14. after a hundred years or so.
  15.   A mad old priest lived next to the church during it's last few 
  16. days. He was a raver and said to be connected with the creatures. 
  17. He had a mad passion for collecting silver.
  18.   The entrance to the crypt was to be found under a fake tombstone 
  19. dedicated to St. Samson. Rumours of the old priest's silver 
  20. collection attracted treasure seekers to the crypt. Needless to 
  21. say, none ever returned from the crypt.
  22.   A shrine to the ancient malign god of Ctkuli was erected in the 
  23. church ruins by some unknown cult. The uttering of his name was 
  24. rumoured in popular superstition to instantly transport the 
  25. foolhardy to his lair to vile death.
